Dan,
I just installed my SPOOFAK.  Top quality in every regard!  you did good and I thank you. easy instructions.  no hiccups or issues.  Glad to have it on my C10.  i'll be saying thank you with every oil change.

Thanks Bergmen for the best farkle invention for the C10! It was my first purchase when I bought my C10 what was new to me at that time. i have an upcoming oil change and will always think why the K folks never did this to begin with.

My only regret with Dan's SPOOFAK is that I can't afford to buy a second one just to polish up and set on my desk as a paperweight/conversation piece.  Whomever does the machining does it so nice I just hated to stuff it up into that dark oily hole in the engine, never to be seen again.  :(

I want to again say thanks for all of the great comments! I spoke to Murph and he is working out a way to add to his stock (he is nearly out of kits).

Just got a reply from Murph last night to my inquiry about them being restocked and reply was;

"We are getting ready to run an order,,,so there will be 50 units in stock shortly"

It was on my Farkle list but just not on the "must do the first winter list".... hoping the Canadian exchange rate improves before this winter as its now been upgraded to my "must do the SECOND winter list"

I have some pictures of my '88 showing the ground clearance with the long NAPA/WIX (Napa Gold 1356) filter, I'll look for them later. You can use the long filter but you must cut the bottom fairing for clearance. Not much effect on the ground clearance, the long filter is just slightly proud of the fairing. The short filter (Napa Gold 1365) could fit without cutting the fairing.

I got  my Spoofac recently. Looking to install tomorrow. What a fine blend of insight, ambition, and billet aluminum. I was reminded of a favorite episode of Car Talk. Tom said he "Just didn't understand Vinyl roofs on cars" If it was up to him, He'd like a vinyl covered HOOD so he could enjoy looking at it while driving. Me, I'm gonna have a hard time installing Spoofac way down where I just cleaned all that filth. I'm thinking of mounting it right on top of my gas tank !
