adapters for powerlet outlet??
« on: August 30, 2012, 06:41:20 pm »
Pardon me if I am a bit of a cave dweller.  I am still getting used to the farkles on my "new" C10, as compared with my old KZ's.

My bike has a powerlet outlet.  (see picture)  I do not use heated gear, and will not likely do so.  I would like to be able to sometimes connect a cell phone charger, and occasionally a 12v cheepo air compressor.  Is there somewhere I can find the correct adapters (cheep is good)?  Or should I just attach a typical cigar lighter outlet into the wiring harness (total cost, about $10)?

I have learned so much from the mistakes I have made.  1993 Concours, and three 1980-81 KZ750s.

Instead of adapting the socket, I'd just go buy myself a new "standard" cigarette lighter socket and replace the powerlet altogether, in the same hole. Here's one...

Otherwise you can "convert" with one of these
