Admore light install
« on: September 02, 2012, 05:47:26 pm »
I have a question regarding the Admore light install.  In the picture they provide, they say to drill the hole in the Givi trunk facing the front of the bike.  Wouldn't it be better to drill the hole on the bottom of the case?  Can anyone help me?   ::)

I installed some of their stuff on my wife's versys. The detachable connectors seem pretty water tight as well as the through hull parts that penetrate the box. I would still desire to put the hole out of direct exposure to the weather. However, the primary concern would be convenient placement for the wiring. If that necessitated putting it facing the front, then that's where I would put it. You don't want dangling wires, even when the box is off.

I have had the led Run/Signal unit installed for about a year now.
I mounted the connector as suggested and have been through days of heavy rain without a problem.
The location at the front (bike front) and left side (when riding) works real well for wiring purposes as well.
I mounted mine just above the passenger grab rail and close to the back of the seat to keep it out of the way.
