« on: February 25, 2016, 11:09:52 pm »
Hi can't find a rackand backrest for my 1999 concours . Had one ordered from a Kawasaki parts house and they canceled the order. So don't know where to turn too. Anyone have one or know where to get one please let me know.  Thanks Steve

Good question because you can't find them.  But Fisherman now has one.  :)  And I do believe he's a happy camper with it.

The backrest pad off my '86 did not fit on my 98. The seat or something changed from the early model. I made it work but had to take the backrest pad off as it interfered with the seat.

Did you try mounting the plate to the rear of the crossbar?  That gets you an inch more clearance. Works for me.

That was my solution also. I have also made several extender plates over the years to raise the pad up for folks who needed the back pad to be a little higher.

Yep.  Mine, currently on the Blu Gnu, is as high as an old school sissy bar and has some antique Yamaha pad on it. LOL But it makes mama comfortable so it stays despite its ugly looks.  :-\
