Most here just bolt a cutting board to the existing rack and then bolt the mounting bracket to that.    1990 Aint she a pretty Tomato (the bike ofcourse)  wedshots albums   http://community.webshots.com/user/sawfiler64/albums/most-recent

What kind of box?  If you are looking at Givi, you will need to use their rack mount plate and an optional backrest pad is available.      --  Steve Smith, COG #3184  COG Northeast Area Director  (somewhere in south central CT)     If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

+ 1 on using the supplied bracket.  The first time I mounted my JCW trunk I bolted it directly to the "cutting board".  In a short time the cutting board broke, leaving the trunk dangling.  Good thing I don't carry passengers.  Reinstalled with a new boar
