^ +1 on what Jim says.

I took his suggestion, added two stainless steel scrub pads ($3.95 at Target) to each muffler, and I love the sound.  Same rich baritone voice, just without the loudness.  The missus says it's no louder than the stocks on my other 10.  And the cycle is running great, so no drop off in performance accompanied the lowering of the sound level.   :great:

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.  I "opened" up the weave of the stainless steel pads a bit before I stuck them in, but I don't know whether that is necessary or not.  I started by putting one in each side, and I liked the effect but thought it could be quieter.  So I stuck another pad in each muffler (I have the 18" ovals, so plenty of room).  I haven't noticed any drop off in performance.

All the above.I feel like a kid at Christmas every time I ride. With 17 inch wheels,  4 piston brakes, and Delkevics,  who needs a C14.

I'm sssooo jealous.

Where do you park your bike at night?
