Simon - he mounted it below the big vent in the fairing where the hot air from the radiator exits, just in front of the foot vent scoop.

The mount and right angle adapter puts the camera lens 5" to 6" away from the fairing.  The wide angle of the lens gives the illusion it is further away. Which also makes it seem like riders cross the double yellow when the camera is mounted low like this.

Wide angle, of course. I picked the wrong week to quit drinking:)
