Ikea to the rescue
« on: March 07, 2012, 07:14:12 pm »
I was putting together a small table for my daughter from ikea.  The small S shaped allen wrench that comes for putting the table together is a 4mm.  great for putting in the Connie tool kit if you own murph's fairing screws. It is small and should be great on the road.  Also, i think you can get them for free without purchase.

FYI.

You can get them for free, but you need to walk into an Ikea. You need to go to the returns department, and on the wall they have spare screws and such. They should have these spare allen wrenches there too.

In the toolkit I have one of them nice ones with the T-Handle. Loose in the fairing pocket is one of these small ones.

I used to only have the toolkit one. But the toolkit is under the seat / or in the truck, etc. Basically locked up. One day I dropped my keys and down into the fairing they went. And got swallowed by Connie. If only I had my keys so that I could open the trunk so that I could get my tools, so that I could remove some fairing bits, so that I could get my keys back.

Now I have an extra key with me. And I have a floating 4mm allen that requires no keys to get to ( cause my left fairing pocket has a knob on it and not a key ).
