Very cool, I did mine the hard way. Should have waited a couple of months :(. Is that aluminum plate as a lower shield?

It is aluminun plate as a base. But just for prototype, they want to use .25in acrylic for production

keep in mind that this is only the proto type, your mounting plates will be finished in black. you will also have your choice of windshield colors/ shades and we are working on a special shape to fit the concours. here are a couple more pics to give you a better idea.

:rotflmao: getting clooooserrrrrr... The black acrylic is awesome! What do ya think of the shield? Oh yeah, 20%   off for the month of April for active COG members! Are your dues paid?  The list price will be $280!! Minus 20% puts it at $224!!! That is for the complete system btw. The c-10 baseplate in black or clear (for no loss in visibility), the robo-brackets, and the windshield designed specifically to follow the c-10 contours. Thanks Mark and Cody and everyone at Madstad. Not sure how we add them as a corporate sponsor? Anyone? Stay tuned for the big reveal!!

Ok starting to really like the look of the sheild. In the lowest position it looks even with the vent above headlight. So how tall is that upper shield in length and how much do you get in extension length.

Nice thinking Willy! Real nice! Bob... 3"of vertical and from 40° to 70° of angle adjustment at your fingertips. On hot days, lower and direct the wonderfully "non-turbulant" cooling air right at you. Cold mornings (42° this am) raise it up and straighten it up!! Awesome!!! Btw the med. grey is just fine for me at night ZERO visual restriction. This acrylic has great optical clarity, and chemical resistance.

2 questions:

Are all adjustments made and locked in place with the hand-knobs? (Tool-less?)
The MadStad Youtube video shows adjustments being made with small wrenches.
But it's obviously a different style of bracket, for a different bike.

When the windshield is lifted to max height, how high is it?
(Trying to compare the height to my current aftermarket shield.)

Thanks!

Rick, the old style brackets have been discontinued in favor of the new tool-less style brackets, that are adjusted easily while seated on your bike rather than getting off and fooling with tools and nuts and bolts. As for the height, you will be able to choose a taller or shorter shield then I have depending on your own height. I am 6 foot 1 and most of my height is from the waist up. the first picture will show that I choose the 19 inch shield, the second picture at a max height of 20 inches, and the third picture at a minimum height of 17 inches. it will be hard but the old thinking of windshield Heights must be thrown out the window because of the difference in angle offered by the Madstad as well as the space between the shield and the base as it changes the dynamic of airflow greatly. I suppose it will only be your personal experience that will truly bring this to light, all I ever wanted in the past with a taller shield to quiet the ride and to stop the turbulence, when all it did is create a bigger vacuum around me carrying more air down the highway and buzzing around my head.

I wanted to add a pic of the shield fully raised fo you guys.

Would they be willing to customize the engraving? Have the cog logo instead of the spider theme, and my name instead of "Madstad"?

Madstad will b there, I'm certain of that. As far as the cog logo I'm sure there would be a fee but nothing major. Check their website tues morning and all c-10 options should be listed. If not I have been instructed to tell you all to call the office (#on web page) to place your order. Also when you order send them an e-mail with your cog# to be sure you get 20% off!!

Willy? Being that you did the cog theme, do you have a version of the logo that would be good that you could e-mail me? It would be redone on turbo cad pretty easily im sure.

Thanks, Capo!

If you get a chance, could you post a photo from the side with the shield in the lowest position, tilted all the way back (summer), and one with it in the highest position in the most-vertical angle (winter/rain)?

Here ya go  :great: summer and winter shield positions, and of course infinitely variable in-between!! And Deadeye, the list of pros of the Madstad system is endless and as of yet I have not been able to come up with a single con. Not even price!! Oh, also in the summer you could run with the base only, I dont have a pic w/o the brackets but his gives the idea.
