What kind of bike cover do you have?
« on: May 09, 2013, 12:45:44 pm »
I'm wanting to replace my cheap, way to big, bike cover.

I've seen some really nice covers on some ST's and was wondering if anybody makes a nice cover for the C 10, and at a resonable rate.

I've seen the one on the COG merchandise site, but the one that just barely covers the windscreen, doesn't thrill me. I'd like to find a full 1/2 cover.

Any input would be appreciated, as usual.

Thanks...John/Sourkraut

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

That would be fine, except when I highlighted the picture, that's not what comes up. It shows a bike with only half of the windshied covered. So which is which. The picture above or the one that comes up on the site.

The one I got was the half windshield one.  Best to only use it on a road trip when you have to pack small.

I'm using a BikeBandit branded cover because it came free when I ordered over a certain $$ amount (darn parts needs).  The XL fits pretty snug on the C10 but does cover a lot.  I'd consider it a full cover that rides a little high due to fit.  Kind of like when I wear too tight of shorts ;)

It's okay for dust or lookie loo protection, other than that I'm not sure it would do much to protect against major elements.

Hi John,

I see your NorthCentral. If you're in Canada try Princess Auto. I just picked up the Deluxe XL cover and it's a reasonably good fit for my '86 C10 and not too $$$.

Cheers,
Neil

Thanks everyone for your replys.

I have tried numerous times to get on the online store and am not having any luck. I was there once and saw, at least I thought I saw, a bike with a full 1/2 cover. Not the one that is pictured above. Why must that be so difficult????

So I'll just look elsewhere. Besides, that cover doesn't look as if it will cover up a tail and or tank bag.

Thanks again...John/Sourkraut

Dowco XL. A little pricey from my local guys, but has a cotton liner for the windshield area, elastic in the lower edge, a strap that goes underneath and fastens to a D ring like a helmet, and it covers a 19" Rifle (the longest stock),a Givi 52L top box, the regular panniers, the mufflers, and just goes over the fenders. Also came with a nice stuff sack.
