"Big Screen" GPS
« on: August 11, 2012, 06:38:06 pm »
Anyone using a GPS with a 6" size screen, mounted between the handlebars?  I was window shopping today, with the idea of checking out a 5", and they had a couple 6" that look real nice. I just don't know if it'd fit between the bars with a ram ball mount in the risers.

lots of room the farther from the stem you get, higher is wider. it will fit  :great: (check ram mounts for mounts and such)
not all work with gloves, if you ride with them, from the touch. worth testing as it could be an issue.

have an OLD tomtom one-xls 4.3 on a ram mount from the stem (1.5", 3" seems high and not as stable on my setup) that works great. can also record routes and use route files.
