*GROUP BUY* Clearwater Lights *GROUP BUY*

GROUP BUY OPPORTUNITY

Greetings, fellow COGnates. . .

Our friends at Clearwater Lights have offered a great deal to COG forum participants on their extremely bright, well-engineered LED motorcycle lights. I have agreed to manage the group buy; here's the deal:

This offer is good through the month of March, and is available only to us here on the COG forum. They are offering the complete Glenda light kit for the Concours 14, which includes the dimmer and front fender mounting kit, for $375 plus shipping. Clearwater will also give a discount on the complete Krista light kit with the "police-style" above mirror mounts, offered at $549 plus shipping.

These deals basically translate into a $100 discount on each kit.
Their website is here:  http://www.clearwaterlights.com/index.html

Again, this deal is for the Concours kits. . . however if you wanted to buy a second set for the "other" bike in your stable, Clearwater will generously honor the group price for that set as well, as long as they are being shipped to the same individual.

There is no threshold needed to make this deal go through, we just have to order before 3/31/12. In order to qualify, send me a PM with your forum handle. . . I will compile and forward the "approved" COG handles to Clearwater, then they will be able to verify your order is coming from a bona-fide COGger. As I collect the handles I will forward to Clearwater at least weekly, and you will be able to place your orders promptly.

These are high quality lights, and they are made here in the good ol' US of A. Hey, anything I can do to support the balance of payments not sent overseas and keep the dollar strong! So, if you want to light up the nights and get one more farkle mounted before spring officially begins, send me that PM with your handle, then enjoy your discount!
I hope you find this helpful. . .  :motonoises:

Here is the link to Clearwater's gallery, showing a variety of installations. There are a couple of pictures toward the botttom showing how their kit fits on the C14:

Here is the pdf installation guide for the Glenda's. . .
http://www.clearwaterlights.com/downloads/v5_manuals/Kawasaki%20Concours1400%20v5.0.pdf

This'll give you a rough idea of what the install looks like.

The Krista installation guide is found here:

Hope this helps visualize the product in use.

Is there a bracket to mount the krista lights under the mirrors?  I was told that it is illegal in California to mount the lights above headlight level like on the police bikes.

The web site indicates the "kit" that comes w/ Conny 14 is about $724.00 including brackets, etc. Would the price be $100.00 less that this or the $550.00 or so that was quoted as the price. (Perhaps w/ generic brackets) Thanks.

Hi Lats,
Hmmm. . . I just noticed that price you quoted for the Krista's. . . which may represent a recent increase? In any event, the price I was given by Clearwater was the $549. for the Krista's with the "police-style, above-mirror mounts, which may be different from this (newer?) Concours specific mount kit.
You might want to give Clearwater a ring to see what your price might be. . . I don't know if they'll only sell the older kit at the discount, or if they'll also give you the $100 off the newer stuff (if that is what it is). They have been really accommodating thus far -- nice people who want to get the word out!
I am forwarding your handle to them in case you choose to order. PMme for any other details etc. if you wish.
Thanks,

bill h

I got my Krista lights yesterday.   Very nice looking product.  I'm having trouble figuring out how the brackets that came with the lights can be applied to my 2010 C14.  Has anyone else mounted these lights using the brackets supplied by Clearwater?  If so, any ideas would be very much appreciated.  thanks

Has anyone figured out how to install the Krista's yet with the supplied bracket?  The instructions suck and make no mention of C14.

I believe these mount above the mirrors so I think you need to remove the mirrors, add the bracket and bolt it all back together.  That said, THIS is the perfect mount for these lights...  http://www.bucksporttouring.com/lights.html.  Scroll down to the C14 mounts. ;D

Thanks. Great find. Just ordered those. With the Clearwater mounts you have to trim. Clearwater states they don't make the over mirror mounts but source them for LEOs. Definitely prefer under mounts.
