08-09 Heat Blockers - Are they still available?
« on: May 19, 2014, 12:51:23 pm »
Was curious about the heat blockers and tried to email Zteve. The email bounced.

Does anyone know if he still makes these?

From the Farkle directory, I used this email:  h59913@frontiernet.net

Thanks,

Joe

Is this the same person as Zteve's? I had seen them on eBay, but was not sure if they were the same product.

These look like the panels I had for my 09.

I have heard that they work for the legs but shoot the heat up and you get hit anyway? Comments?

Just keep in mind I live in fl & my 09 was black..... so I was dealing w/ all kinds of heat. My impression was that they definitely work to remove the heat from your legs. In my case it pushed the heat up into the tank, seat & body seam areas. I felt it made it too warm in those areas & the bike wanted to run a little warmer. I used them spring & most of a summer then pulled them off the bike. Remember.... florida heat / humidity / sun & black bike. I felt the bike dissipated heat better without the panels & left it stock after that. If I lived in a less heat prone environment I might have a different opinion. Hope this helps.

The only problem I really have with heat is at a stop and the fans come on. Traffic sucks!
