After trying every seat out there, I finally got it right...
« on: October 07, 2014, 11:20:20 am »
So, just another thread to bolster Seth Laam, as he deserves it.  I have literally tried every seat available for the Concours14, and have found no difference to an extreme pain that starts on my butt before my first tank of gas is done on long Interstate rides.  Until Seth did my seat.  I'm 6'3, with long legs, and he knew exactly how to work with that.   I needed my seat asap as I just got back from a trip to DC (from Florida), so he hurried for me, and even shipped it 2 day express so I could get it the day that I left last week.  Just got back yesterday, 2300 miles (I took the long way home through the mountains), and this seat is BY FAR the best I have tried.  That horrible pain I never even felt, just a normal annoyance of sitting in the same place for hours at a time.   I am finally happy with my seat, and I recommend anyone who is not go through Seth.

That is all.

That s all ya need.

I read and read till I was satisfied that Seth laam was the way to go. Skipped having to try many other seats in the interim. He did mine in April and have over 12K on the seat. I am a happy camper. Every once in a while I throw the stocker back on for a short trip to remember what it felt like.

Thanks for sharing

Hi,
I think Seth is tall and he rides a ZX-14 also! I bet it was the best price for a "custom" seat too!

  Win! Win! is good! >:D

Greg,
Are you gonna take that totally uncalled for, ( but very nice), upstaging from GP? You must be slipping.

Many on this forum have gotten a seat from Seth and there has been few if any complaints about the end product or his service.

There are stickies at the top of the accessory page which are a great resource for all to use.  I use it to find part numbers for various things.

I to am going to jump on the Seth Laam band wagon. I rode from the Los Angeles area to Redding where Seth operates out of, about a 9 hour ride and thought I was going to to be paralyzed from all the discomfort from the stock seat and I use the word seat loosely. I saw Seth the next morning after a good nights sleep at a nearby hotel and after about 3 hours of measuring, fitting and building my custom seat I set of for home. I am not kidding when I say that after the none stop trip back home I could have done another few hundred more miles when I pulled into my driveway. Anyone who picks a Laam seat will be pleased with the outcome. I just came off a 3000 mile run two weeks ago and the only regret I had was putting up with other drivers, my new seat performed flawlessly.

I have a Seth Lamm seat and Love it.  Works great and now we can really travel a long distance before needing to stop.  He is great to work with.  If you need a seat...he's your man.

May I ask what base does Lamm uses? Hopefully not a brick-heavy one like Corbin. I'm going to check his website and see if he sells seats without custom measuring (I live too far away). I don't need anything special; just more comfortable and better looking ;D. And his looks great. And based on all the rave reviews, it's comfortable too. Thanks.
