Aftermarket ZX14 adjustable kickstand
« on: October 17, 2012, 02:18:15 pm »
Hey Guys,

Would anyone happen to know if an aftermarket ZX-14 adjustable kickstand will fit our C-14s?  Just looking at pictures of C14 versus ZX14 OEM kickstands  it seems they would be interchangeable.  I know that Soupy's makes an adjustable kickstand for the C14, but I wanted something in black.  Plus, the tip of soupy's look like it would dig into asphalt or dirt easier than the OEM on the C-14.  Furthermore, there are several more options available for the ZX14.

For instance:

http://www.spencercycle.com/Kawasaki-Adjustable-Kickstand-ZX14-06-12-p/sp-2110.htm

Thanks!

I have Soupy's and you are right - the foot is way too small.I ground it down to get a flat spot on the bottom and attached a larger foot.
The stand is made out of aluminum and is good quality.
If properly prepared could be painted black.

Thanks Skeeter!

Yes, the Soupy's looks like it's top quality, but the tip shape had me scratching my head.  I wonder what the design rational was for that?

If you ever find out if any of these kickstand DO fit the C14 let me know...I order Muzzy's lower links...will use your 2x4 seesaw method to install them...thanks

Well I found out: The kickstand from NiceCycle DOES NOT work on the C14. I ordered one and they cancelled my order a few minutes later informing me that the ZX14 kickstand does not fit Connie-girl.   :( :'(
