That depends on what you mean by best deal. Do you want the best lights at the best price. Decent lights at a decent price. OR cheap lights that work at a cheap price?

Well IMO, you need to spend money on really good lights (if you want really good lights). Three lights come to mind. And all are not cheap. Let me put it this way, all three are down right pricey.

Anyway, the first option would be Motolights. They are very nice with a great warranty.

The second that comes to mind would be the Denali D1 or D2 lights. Also very nice.

D2   http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/6158/602/

Then there is the third option.  Clearwater Lights - 'Krista' 4800 Lumen LED Light Set

While the trend is towards LED lights I've use the Trailtech HID's on my previous bike (haven't gotten around to installing on the Connie yet) and they are a
worthwhile addition. Two beam versions are available , wide angle and spot, I used two of the spots and they worked great paired up with my low beams.

Gilberto,

Very nice! Looks like you mounted these under your mirrors. Did you use a relay or resistors?

The site states "Package Contains: One Pair of 1800Lm High Power CREE XPG R5 LED Bike Spotlight" but says nothing about a relay, resistors, or mounting equipment.

Jay, the amps draw by those light is that low that if you want you can install them without a relay, idon't have one, i use them only during night time or early in the morning at 5:30 AM on my way to work, they come only with the mounting bracket that you see in the picture, no wiring or relays i'm  very happy with them

I just got around to ordering the Cree XPG R5 lights,  I think they're on sale.  I got them for $139 and shipping was included.

OK I've finished mounting and wiring my LED lights and I think everything went well.  I did cut 1 corner and just removed one of the mirror screws and replaced it with a longer bolt and mounted the lights to that.  If it comes loose or breaks off, I'll drill a hole and tap it for a 6mm bolt.  They may or may not be as bright as the Krista or Glenda lights but they really are bright and cars don't flash high beams at me for blinding them with my lights.

I mounted a waterproof switch I got from Radio Shack, it cost me 4.38 and it lights up red to let me know they're on.  It's not on the controls but that's ok because I'll only use them at night and it's not far for me to reach.
