Autotune Install, 12v switched power source
« on: October 06, 2012, 05:45:32 pm »
I am installing an Autotune on a 2009 C14.  Where is a good 12v power source wire near the gas tank compartment where I plan to locate the PCV and Autotune modules?  Don't want to run long wires to the back of the bike like the Autotune instructions suggests.  Is the 12 accessory plug in front of the handle bars the best spot?  Which wire is the hot 12v?

If I remember correct, I used the wires going to the cigarette lighter leads, since they go back to the same fuse as the accessory leads do, and are switched with the ignition. Just follow the wires back from it, and you'll find they connect to a couple bullet connectors. I just spliced in a couple new wires to them.
