Bar ends help
« on: September 05, 2011, 02:02:35 pm »
My Connie came with Throttlemeister bar ends installed.  After more than 1000 miles with them I definitely do not like them and I am removing them.

I was hoping to try out the bar ends that I have on my Buell and see if they would help reduce the vibes on the Connie but with the Throttlemeister ends removed I am not sure they can be installed.

The bar ends screw into the piece shown in the first pic below at the end of the bar.  Is this piece part of the Throttlemeister kit?  Whether it is or not can it be removed and reinstalled?

The second pic is the stock bar end on the end of the bar, it does not fully seat.

The third pic is of the bar ends side by side.  Stock, Throttlemeister, and HVMP from my Buell.

Anyone have any insight that might help me out here?

The first picture is part of the handlebars...not the kit.  I do not know if it can be removed.

You're correct.  The stock bar ends do not fully seat against the grips.

Here you go. The C14 and the C10 are interchangeable.

My two cents. I got the heavier of these two weight. It didn't seem to make any changes at all. I kind of like the look so I left them on. Although, for the right price I just might take them off. ;-)
