I had some problems having the payment go thru when i ordered my set last night and in about 10 minutes i received a called from the man himself, letting me know that my order came in three times but no payment, so we squared away over the phone, really good service. can't wait to try them on,,,,

I just ordered a set today. I had grip puppies on my V-strom but when I could not get them to stop rotating around on the Concours 14. Looking forward to using these and  they look like they will stick just fine and not mess with the heat off the grips.   Bill

I have not read this thread untill now because I have a C-10 and didn't think that it would apply to my bike.
I think this thread should be moved and renamed to reflec the universal appeal of these grips.
Well...even if you fall on your face you're still moving forward.

Hi oldsawfiler !

You may well be right, but it for now it seems that quite a few who are reading this part of the forum are taking advantage of the information, and ordering grips to improve their overall riding comfort and grip ergonomics. I am new enough to this forum (and don't know enough about how it works) to know how to go about what you have suggested. Obviously, if moving it results in a greater readership, that would be a good thing. I just want to make sure that the C-14 group in this part of the forum is not ignored.

I do have grips for all makes of motorcycles (including the C-10), and we do make neoprene grips for other industries, as well.

Thanks for your suggestion, and I stand ready to assist and adapt to whichever way the membership goes with this.

I started another thread in the C10 accessories section connecting to this thread (as suggested).  That way the C10 folks can find out about these as well.

Thanks for your suggestion. You were 100% correct that until Cap'n Bob moved a copy of this thread over to the C10 section, those folks didn't know anything about my grips. Now there will be a whole lot of happy and satisfied C10 folks riding around with OGB's because of you. Well done!

ZG-

My pleasure.

Rep

Mine arrived today, I just put them on while having a cold beer in the garage without removing the back tape just to get a feel for em...  ;D

Question: is it ok to ride with them on without pulling the backing off the stick tape just for a short ride to test them out or will they come off? They feel pretty secure right now with back tape still on, no twist to them at all...

Oh ya, and the fit is perfect on the custom set you did for me, nicely done bro!  :great:

Officially, I can't recommend that you ride your bike with out fully installing my grips, sticky backing and all (this keeps my attorney happy). On the other hand, I am not there to police you, so I guess you will do what you think is best. Just keep it under a hundred (that's a joke).

Thank you for your kind words, and I will look forward to your ride review once you have had a chance to give the OGB's a proper workout

I figured that would be your answer Dave, I'm gonna try it if it ever stops raining this week... I just want to get the seam position right before pulling that backing tape off, riding is the only way to be sure I have them in the right spot I think.

Thanks again bro!  :You_Rock_Emoticon:

Just to note for folks. Beemer Buddies are listed in the C14 (and the C10) Farkle vendor directories, along with lots of other cool stuff for you bikes. If you haven't looked around it the directories. Take the time to check it out. Lots of cool stuff to spend more money on.  :))

Got my grips installed today,  Nice addition, i was needing a little thicker grip.   Thanks

question for you.  Have you ever thought of trying to attach them to a piece of heat shrink,  then you could work them over the grips, and use a hair dryer to sit them in place.  it  might eliminate the seam.

Just ordered a set off your website.  I've got a 3-day ride coming up next weekend Mar (9-11), so hopefully they'll arrive here in TX in time for the trip.  If not, no biggie.  they'll get plenty of use in rides to come.

MidlifeCrisis-

I'd be awfully surprised if you don't get them in plenty of time. I'll be shipping them tonight or tomorrow morning, so that would give them plenty of lead time to get to you in time. Please post when they get there, so we can all gauge the shipping process (and my customer service performance).

FourTraX-

Glad you like your new Original Grip Buddies. Also, thanks for your input. I have thought of many options for seam welding etc. The reason why we settled on the design we did was to make them easy for the layman to install, re-install, or move. In addition, seam welding introduces caustic substances, more expense, and complicates the process. Most users seem to feel that the seam is less and less of an issue as time goes by, and with gloves they don't seem to feel it at all, especially if they follow our installation recommendations.

We continue to update and improve the OGB's, and I will happily announce any new design changes, so check back on my site from time to time.

Again, thanks for your ideas, and enjoy your new OGB's.

Best,

Dave R.

Mine came in the mail yesterday and I threw them on after work. I got 120 miles in tonight and they definitely make the ride more comfortable.

I finally went out out in the garage to install my OGBs today.  It was the easiest installation I've ever done. The grips feel great just sitting on the bike in the garage. I can't wait to get out for a ride.
