I purchased mine direct from McCriuse's website. www.mccruise.com      :great: They also have a link to locate dealers.

I think you will find there is only one price for the McCruise. Nobody discounts it, and McCruise itself tells all its dealers not to discount. So the only thing that might change is shipping cost, and I suspect that if you find a US dealer, they add their shipping cost from Australia into the sales price.

When I purchased my TimeOut trailer, it came from Indiana to Open Road Outfitters in Virginia, and Dale included his freight costs in the bill. I had no problem with that, no reason he should lose money and he wasn't my brother or close friend.  ;)

I would have Steve in sunny Florida install it if you live in FL he charges $50.00 per hour and he knows the bike , you can't beat that.
I called some of those installers on that list and they did NOT want to work on a ZG 14.

I bet Steve's price for a McCruise, is price commensurate with the difference between it, and a rostra ...
Hehehe

I don't understand the price for what the McCruz charges, vs what ya get... I'm nutz tho.

Other than the McCruise having plugs that go between the factory connectors it has more parts than the Rostra. Unless you have money that's burning a hole in your pocket the Rostra is the way to go IMHO  :beerchug:

BIG +1
There are only a few (simple), connections that need to be made for the Rostra to work properly. After I installed mine, (with help, (and lodging),from RogerM), I was SOOOOOOO  glad I didn't piss away the extra 700$ buying the McCruise.
There are only like 7 or 8 wires to be connected to the bike. Is that worth an extra 700$ ????

If your not able to tap into a few wires then the Rostra is out, The McCruise does plug in but I find getting to & unplugging the factory harness connectors just as hard if not harder than using taps for the Rostra. The McCruise also has 3 separate pieces that each need to be mounted in different locations & hooked together, The Rostra is one piece. Posi taps take like a whole 3 seconds each to install  :beerchug:

One small harness you run to your handlebar & mount the control pad, You have to do the same thing with the McCruise. So I stand corrected, 2 pieces for Rostra but now 4 for McCruise. I am not knocking the McCruise but at about 5x the price it better keep me warm at night too  :rotflmao:

If the US dollar is strong in relation to the Australian dollar our price should be lower.

I have the MCCruise on my 2011, I had the dealer install it while a major service was being done, it took then 4 hours and they had support from MCC as well.

The MCC has not missed a beat for me, it was not the first thing fitted but should have been as it makes long rides so much better.

My boss would appreciate if you don't post links to manuals. Link to our email address instead please.

We give them out freely to anyone that emails us (no questions asked) but we can't afford to have out of date documents uploaded to the internet. Imagine if it contained a critical safety issue, updated in a future revision, and your copy didn't reflect that?

After the GFC your dollar tanked, making our stuff far more expensive. It's slowly climbing back making my Amazon purchases more expensive - http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=AUD&view=10Y
