Christmas morning brought a new Garmin 590LM, plus a new Shoei Neotec bought locally Saturday, Throttlemeister arrived Friday, Grip Buddies better be in the mail box today (it's been nine days for some reason, thanks USPS  >:(), and ordering new jacket, gloves, and maybe boots tonight.  And seriously thinking of a scala rider unit, too...

Gotta be comfy for the ride to Cortez.  Hopefully.   :great:

Big mistake. Never go on a long trip with untested gear. You may get 2 days into your trip and be wishing you had never bought that helmet.

That's one of the Ironbutt Assoc. 25ps tips for long distance riding - never make any changes before a rally.

BTW, I speak from experience. I've even gone so far as to bring along a second helmet.

Will we be seeing you in Cortez?

Nope for Cortez.  Taking the week off to see my niece's graduation, then her dad and I are touring the southern part of Utah - all on-road this time.  I hear ya on the new gear for a trip, however, it's a quality piece, and I'm willing to take a shot.  Was wishing on my last long tour that I had a modular helmet for roadside picture taking opportunities.  Tough to use the viewfinder on my digital SLR camera with a full face helmet.  Didn't have the $$ together until now, so it is what it is.  Also missed out on the group buy, but I'll live.

At least you'll be with someone you could switch helmets with if needed.

Sorry we won't see you in Cortez. Have a great trip and watch out for the tar snakes, the ones in Utah can be vicious.

"Out For Delivery".   (UPS Order Tracking)  :great:

V&H CS One - awaiting arrival.   >:D

I would love to hear how you made out with installation, any problems with leaks and did you have to use any type of paste sealant?
Thanks Butch

Yes they leak at the mid pipe inlet and outlet to the can. I used some metal furnace tape wrapped around the pipe and then slipped it all on, just a couple of times around, no leaks.

They look nice.  Do the flex and hit anything?  After a couple hundred miles ride I am looking for somewhere else to put my feet.....not sure I like the canyon cages,  this looks like a great option!

They work very well. I have them on my bike and have zero complaints.
