Title: Brake pads
Post by: Swedge on February 11, 2019, 02:44:54 pm
I'm looking to buy new OEM brake pads for my '14 C14. I look at sites like this https://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/oem-parts/kawasaki/2014/concours-14-%28abs%29/front-brake (https://www.motosport.com/motorcycle/oem-parts/kawasaki/2014/concours-14-%28abs%29/front-brake) which show 4 pads and then says "Qty 2". It may seem like a no-brainer but I want to make sure that I'm buying one full set for the left and right side front brakes. How many do I buy?

OEM's, 1 package, 4 pads per caliper

2 calipers = 2 packages

I plan on trying the latest OEM pads next time, but a great pad set, from Murph, i a major reduction in cost when using EBC's, which work great.. at least mine have, They have a tendency to "hiss" a bit, but they are very reliable...

as I say, on my '08, back then the OEM's were problematic, and deposited "sticky stuff" on the discs, but have since been changed 2 upgrades in formulation, and I think they corrected that issue...

JDSCO has it correct.   :great:

I just swapped my fronts last spring, with OEM's.  I wasn't unhappy with the original set, got about 25k miles, and no complaints in particular with noise or judder.

Only real complaint is with the Linked-ABS on my '12, but not much I can do about that.  Some pretty obvious additional wear on the outside pads on the (right?) caliper....I think that's the one that shares with the rear brake.

Got mine off Partzilla....something like $56 per caliper (pack).
