Well JR I only switched from BB to iphone this past year and haven't done any multi-day trips on the Connie since getting the iphone, the BB just used a mini-USB which I have a powerlet conversion for, the BB took the same charging input as my Scala G4.
Gotcha. My USB waterproof port on the left console has a standard USB socket, but the cable is USB to mini-USB so it works fine for BB and my C3 SRC, and I have another USB cable that goes USB to the kind of USB connector the Zumo 665 has, I forget what those are called. "Kinda-mini" ?

I have an adapter that plugs into an electrical socket, and it has to standard USB ports, one normal and one high enough amperage to engage an iPhone or iPad since they are picky. It was made specifically for this purpose. So I do most of my charging in the motel room, but if I was camped alongside a road I could do it off the console USB port.
And the Dispatch 1 is programmed to leave the USB port on all the time, the drain on the battery overnight to charge a BB or iPhone or my C3 SRC is not going to hurt the battery.
