Driving Light Mount - update
« on: February 11, 2012, 12:43:21 am »
I picked up the mounts today from the machinist and delivered them to the powder coater. They should be ready Monday or Tuesday for shipment.

The website has not been updated yet but the mount is changed as follows; the stud has been replaced by a tapped, M-8 hole. This will allow the mounts to be used with more types of lights.

Also, the Hella FF-200's are no longer available. I am working with 2 customers to use the excellent, Hella FF-50 lights. The picture on the site is a C-14 with FF-50 lights. If you would like the FF-50 lights, please call me directly before ordering (954-415-1828), as the items required to do the install are different from the FF-200 kit. I most likely will be including a pre-made harness (with sheathing over the wires) to make installation much easier, a relay,  and a illuminated switch that will stand up to the elements. These items are not part of Hella's kit for these lights.

The FF-50's are a longer range driving light; the pattern is more down the road rather than the sides. As furnished by Hella, the 55 watt H-7 bulbs are white, halogen. Optionally, +50 bulbs are available to raise the color temperature from about 2,500 degrees Kelvin to 3,700 degrees Kelvin, ie whiter, ala PIAA. The FF-50's are also available as fog lights if you need this type of lighting. See:
