« on: June 13, 2018, 01:38:33 am »
Just a quick question, i have the rostra electronic cruise control. I dont need a vacuum reservoir, right? Because its all run electronically? Everything Ive read here keeps mentioning the canister.

No cannister. I installed one on my itty bitty six fiddy Versys.

On TDY at Douglas City CA on the Trinity River.

The canister that they may be talking about could be the Carbon Canister that's on California C14 for emissions, as it's located off the front right corner of the fuel tank and under the black plastic panel. That's the same location that a lot of us have located the Rostra Actuator. So if you have a California C14, you'll need to locate the Rostra Actuator somewhere else as it and the Carbon Canister can't reside in the same space due to the lack of room.

So....... you do have a California C14 and you want to remove the Carbon Canister to make room for the Rostra Actuator?

If so, I believe that the removal of the Carbon Canister is fairly simple.

Here's a thread with a diagram of the system and a discussion on it's removal.
