Second thoughts after seeing the damage, and wondering if the Top ones fair any better?

I was seriously considering ProjektD slider set, but shipping from Taiwan was a killer.  I did order some smaller/lighter farkles from them and the shipping was not too bad.

I ended up getting the GSG sliders from http://www.pca-one.com/productDetail.asp?productID=6974&RetURL=search&search=bike&bikeType=&bikeMake=Kawasaki&bikeModel=Concours 1400&bikeYear=2009  Their price is one of low lowest - probably the lowest if you factor in free shipping.  I will be installing them this weekend.

I think they are all good for tipovers from standing still or at very low speed.  Higher speed offs are gonna tear up your bike, whatever sliders you have.

I like the GSG because it is probably the easiest to install, relatively inexpensive, and Looks reasonably unobtrusive.  I got the "clear" option, which I think looks better on my red C14.

The install looks much less involved, but I think you're getting more for your money with the Projekt package.  Hopefully we'll never find out how well they work...  :)
