Since he worked on a Corbin seat, I guess he would have no trouble working on a stock seat that has been Spencerised?  I know most custom seat builder want to work with the stock foam, and not anything that has been altered.

If that's not an issue he may be getting another C14 seat to build. Quality and price looks great.

Received my seat back on Wednesday. It was off the bike for only 7 days :-\. Great service and very nice work. Took a 7 hour ride to the east coast and seat was not an issue, very comfortable and still looks like a sport bikes seat should, not something from an Alien space ship :nananana:
Wow is this thing fast!!!

I am sending my seat off to Seth tomorrow, so he can do his magic.  I have come close to selling my C14 twice this year because of soar butt on long trips. I have had a Baldwin and now a Spencer. I am hoping this will do the trick for me. The Spencer is good only for about 40 minutes. I am hopeful, because I love the bike other then the seat

Thanks for the insight. I have sent him pictures of both myself and my wife on the back. I will also chat with him about my riding style. I want the seat for two up touring.  ;)

Ever since I had my smuggler on my ST1300 I have wanted one on my 14 but did not want to deal with Corbin or their crappy seats knowing it would not fit me well. Well I bit the bullet and low and behold the seat was crap and did not fit either. So....I ran into a guy with another 14 on a ride who had a seat from Seth Laam in Anderson, California. Seth worked for over 10 years with Rick Mayer and is just now 3 month out on his own and 29 years old.

I contacted Seth since he is only a short 2-3 hour ride from me and we set an appt. for a ride in yesterday.  Now I am a large guy at 6'4" and about 280 lbs.  As Seth put it..its a good 280...not a bad 280..LOL

Anyway, his shop is clean, well organized, his attitude fantastic and let me tell you he did a great job on my saddle. I had the leather cover option done and he used only the finest Euro leather. The same that Mercedes Benz uses.

I have had seats from many companies, stock and custom and yes, even one that Seth's old boss did personally and none compare to the comfort and quality of this one.

If you are need of seat work give him a shout. His web site basic right now but being upgraded.

Have 2,500 miles on my Laam seat now. I absolutely love the seat.

You know that I would even pay a deposit in order to do the exchange program.  I have thought about doing my seat on my FZ1 for a few years and now my C14 but never pulled the trigger because of the turnaround time and it was always in the middle of riding season when I really felt the urge to have it done.  :-[
