New England Russell Day Long Owners
« on: May 30, 2012, 08:20:35 pm »
Well I've finally had it with my Corbin and I was looking to see if anyone is somewhat local that would let me check out their seat in person? I'm 99.9% sure I'm going with it, but if I could actually see it in person and sit on it, that would be great. I do realize that not all seats are alike!!!  :))

Thanks,

Chris

I got a Russell Day Long for my C10 over the winter.  You're welcome to look at it and sit on it (so long as you don't leave any permanent cheek prints).  :))

I live in the Lowell, MA area.

I don't think I'm close by (Bronx,NY).  I got rid of my Corbin and got a Russell.  From now on it'll only be Russells for me, they're comfortable and well made.  The price is comparable to Corbin but Corbin isn't nearly as good, IMO.

I have 2 saddles,  I have the Sergent for short trips and the Russel for longer ones..  For longer trips (over 150 miles) it is the bees knees!!! :)
You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Thanks for the offer Wayne. I'd like to sit on one that's on a C-14 so I can compare apples to apples, but thank you for offering.  :beerchug:

Chris-

I have the RDL with Advanced Sports Touring Risers and wedges installed right now.  I'll be travelling up to Burlington, VT on 8 June and will be there until the morning of 10 June.  I then hit Laconia, NH on 10 June during the day, where I am getting the Heil Horizon bars installed.  I'll be overnighting in Londonderry, NH, and hitting the road back to NJ on 11 June.  If any of these are in your 'hood' we can figure out where to link up.  Let me know.
