Website isn't coming up... :(
You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Their list price for Powerbronze plastic is $120 so what is the group price for?

They want $135 extra for "carbon look"

I had an actual Powerbronze carbon fiber hugger on my ZX14 and it was very well made with reinforced mounting points and full adjustability to accomadate different profile tires.

The regular price is $161.00 glass
$255 Real carbon fiber
I believe these are the same as the Project D made in the UK
You need to call -e-mail David I just asked for a group buy I have nothing to to with them .
ZG why don't you post more of your pictures  :-*

I just don't get it. Powerbronze makes the nicest huggers in the industry, as far as fit and finish and quality, and they are only $120 on the website. If I want one, I will just buy it on their website.

So the $161 is not a good deal in any way, unless its like a super-hugger that makes you get 50 mph and have 200 hp.  :rotflmao:

Now, seriously, if you can link the product page on their site, of what is being offered, it may somehow be worth more than a Powerbronze. But I searched the website, and they only list Powerbronze huggers.

I had them import a Pyramid hugger for my Versys.  The Pyramid hugger for the GTR1400 is $140.00 US.

Am I missing something here? Neither SFBD or PowerBronze list the Connie? I'd like to get one, but I want to see how it mounts and what it looks like first.

Which may be why the group buy price is stated as $161, because they have to get something that fits on the Connie. But without a link to a product page, I'm not buying sight unseen.

The price for the Fiberglass is 135.95
The price for the REAL Carbon Fiber is $230
Shipping is 10 to $15.00 these are made in the UK by SKIDMARX
Have to re post the prices because some  have a problem with reading comprehension.
These are made by SKIDMARX in the UK
Project D sells the same ones but add $65. for shipping

Are these necessary? Does the underside around the back tire get that dirty? Or, is this just farkle-ization gone wild?

It helps keep your shock cleaner, but its not really necessary.

FWIW, I just ordered the Projekt D carbon hugger, sine they have it on sale.  Shipping is a little steep but they'll throw in a fender extender for $10 more.  Plus I ordered  other stuff so it wasn't too bad overall.

Since when does a Farkle have to be NECESSARY???

It looks cool but also helps keep things cleaner. Win win.

For that matter, was the C14 really necessary for any of us? ::)

I need one because I'm tired of the shock constantly getting muddied up.  That's not the easiest place on the bike to clean.

BTW, no hugger is long enough to shield the tail end of the bike.  I've got a rear fender extender for that.

it SHOULD cause a LOT more water to shoot back rather than UP, which should keep things cleaner.

Alright.  Thanks for the replies.
No - a C14 is not a necessity (at least not for me).
Cheaper than long-term psycho-therapy though.....
I don't even have my bike yet (four more days) and I've already spent my fair share on farkles.
I'll consider the hugger once I get the bike back here (a ride I'm very much anticipating).  :motonoises:
A safe and happy (respectfully so) Memorial Day weekend to everyone.

LOL.  I was going to say C14 is my physical therapy, but I doubt the IRS would let me claim it as a medical deductible. ;D

Congrats on getting your C14.  Yes, I would hold off on buying any farkles till you get some seat time and know exactly what you "need".  Unless, of course, you come across a smoking deal in the meantime.  That happened to me.  An owner here was selling his (now mine) AreaP carbon slip-on the first week I got my C14.  I just couldn't pass it up. :celebrate:

Just so you know; this is the same Skidmarx hugger that is being offered here in this group buy. You just ordered it from a reseller in Taiwan.

He did not set a # I told him I would post on both forums and he said fine , He does not care to get involved in this thread , he just wanted a cut off date , but said if you have any questions just contact him. He sounds like a nice easy going guy .

My real hobby is outboard drag boat racing and I know most boat or motor builders stay away from forums like this but are more that happy to deal with people one on one.
