FWIW, I just ordered the Projekt D carbon hugger, sine they have it on sale.  Shipping is a little steep but they'll throw in a fender extender for $10 more.  Plus I ordered  other stuff so it wasn't too bad overall.

Just so you know; this is the same Skidmarx hugger that is being offered here in this group buy. You just ordered it from a reseller in Taiwan.
Not sure which is the Mfr and which is the reseller.  Based on where auto parts are typically made, I'd be more inclined to believe it's Asian in origin.  It doesn't matter anyway.  I got the parts I wanted, not all of which are offered by skidmarx or streetfighterbydesign.  Most importantly, I dont like buying things without seeing what exactly I am getting.

This the second order I've placed with ProjektD.  They seem to be expanding their product line.

Good luck with the group buy.  If you can get what you want at the price you like when you want, all's good.

Both Skidmarx and Streetfightersbydesign have TERRIBLE websites.

I agree. I looked all over for Concours 14 2012 (or even 2010) huggers and couldn't find it. Found for my old ZX14 I no longer have. Heh.

Nobody has a provided a link to the actual product.

Take the MCE group buy, there are pictures of the exact products, links to the product pages, and so forth. I don't think you can even do that for this group buy, the websites are worthless.

My earlier post shows the exact product, installed on a C14, just this week.

Yes, but it doesn't link to the seller's website and show it. For instance, we have been given a price for the group buy but have no way to read on the vendor site what the normal price is. So we don't know if its a good deal or not.

I'm just saying so far we have one member's statement of what he was told and a couple jpegs of your bike. Thats not enough for me. It may be for most everyone else.

No worries... I'm sure seeing a pic of one not on a bike would be helpful to some.  Like I said, his website is terrible.  This IS a terrific price they're like 265 or something, and if you get it from ProjektD they're over 300 with 65 international shipping.  I don't care if you don't buy one, I certainly have no stock in it, and in fact purchased mine before the group buy.

hey 46alpha, here in europe the connie has a other name : GTR 1400.
strange, but I still do not know why...    if anyone knows...

Am I missing something here? Neither SFBD or PowerBronze list the Connie? I'd like to get one, but I want to see how it mounts and what it looks like first.

I believe the term GT gran turismo (Italian) is a common term in Europe
Usually a High Performance Luxury vehicle designed for long distance driving.
That kind of sounds like the bike :beerchug:

In the US we like the idea of mounting Connie ;D

Are these necessary? Does the underside around the back tire get that dirty? Or, is this just farkle-ization gone wild?

Last week I went for a ride to Marco Island and got caught in rain , I remembered a underground parking garage down the street (with a sports bar up stairs) I drove no more than two miles in the rain, when I got off the bike the whole rear was covered with SAND,  bags , smuggler , storage rack , I believe the hugger is practical not just a show piece.

For that matter, was the C14 really necessary for any of us? ::)

I need one because I'm tired of the shock constantly getting muddied up.  That's not the easiest place on the bike to clean.

BTW, no hugger is long enough to shield the tail end of the bike.  I've got a rear fender extender for that.

Rear fender extender? not sure I've seen one .

I just installed mine this morning, got it from Street Fighters By Design.   Wanted to get it installed before bike night with my drinking buddies.  Large res available here - the file names without the "s": http://home.armourarchive.org/members/morgan/connie/hugger

I see you have a P3 is that a 50 or 55 just how much room is on the sides and top of the tire?
