Installing slip on
« on: March 13, 2012, 02:17:13 am »
I have a new CS 1 that I want to install.  Are there any tricks to getting the pipes properly lined up? Some mid pipes are real tight to get on and are difficult to get in place.  Does lubing the end of the pipe help?

The stock midpipe has a nice graphite insert, so it comes off very easily.  Shoot some WD40 if it give you any trouble.

On reassembly, I smear antiseize over the pipe joints, since it is direct pipe to pipe.  Should make it a lot easier if I ever have to remove my AreaP.
