Is lighting standard on Givi?
« on: March 21, 2013, 11:09:30 pm »
New-to-me 2010 Connie has a Givi rack installed by previous owner. The rack has a "hot shoe" connection that apparently provided power to the Givi top box that thet previous owner kept. I am considering buying a top box (since I already have the rack), and am wondering if the OEM Kawasaki top box, which I understand is similar to or made by Givi, includes the matching terminal and associated light. Anybody know? See picture below.

I'm aiming for a top case that fits my GiviSR410 rack, and that color matches my Neptune blue bike, and that has a light kit that connects to my existing hot shoe.

All advice appreciated.

Never mind... I'm gonna try to contact the P.O. and see what kind of light kit he bought. Gotta feeling that buy the time I buy a case, a color panel, and a light kit, it's gonna be waaaaay too spendy for my tightwad self.

Take a look at the NLUXEB or NLUXA cases on this link.
I don't have the Givi rack but have NLUXA case. Note that the Givi lighting is brake lights only. The Admore kit does turn signals as well, but of course, you would need more wires than what you can get through that connection.
