Leg heat
« on: July 24, 2017, 11:52:29 am »
Looking for a vent flaps to direct cooler air to my legs. I have a 2011 C14, and my legs can't seem to stay cool enough while riding. I'm thinking some deflectors at the widest part of the cowling to direct sure toward my legs would be a welcome mod. Anyone have suggestions on a product they know works well for this?

Just make sure you are not directing the heat from the engine vents on each side at ya.

This gives me.an idea. I think you could fabricate the C10 lower wngs to fit a C14. And they're easy to find.

I view the C14 cockpit heat as a feature, not a bug.

2010-up models run a little cooler than '08-'09. I have my '12 set up for wet summertime riding; it's my go-to if rain or cooler temps are expected during my journeys.

The earlier models...well, the press ripped them apart with regards to temperature.

Perfect! Said I...

Therefore, my '08 is the fall/winter/early spring ride of choice. A set of Baker Cockpit Wings and a tall (California Scientific) windshield keep most of the cold air off my torso.

Leg-wise, the cockpit area is noticeably warmer than standing next to the bike - even at speed when in motion.  I've ridden it in single-digit temps down our local interstate wearing nothing more than dress slacks and a riding suit pantset on my legs and was not cold at all.
