Motolights ANYONE?
« on: August 30, 2011, 09:18:50 pm »
Hi all,  any one have the radial mounted motolights on the Concours 14?

We had them on our 2004 Concours, and I loved them!

I would like to see pictures of it mounted on the Concours 14 before I shell out the $500.  :motonoises:

For that money I would prefer a set of high end LED lights like the Denali that Twisted Throttle has.

They are nice. But IMO, the Motolights look really great on the bike. Where as the Denali's work better than they look. Not bad, just not quote as nice. Like I said, IMO only.   :)

Everyone has different aesthetic taste... What about those Clearwater lights Rocketmoto was selling at the national????

Don't get me wrong. The Denali's do not look bad. Especially the less square shaped lights. But the Motolights just really look great (If you are going to mount other lights). I also like the brushed finish look.

I'd prob go with Clearwater myself... :)
You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Has anyone here seen the Motolights with the optional LED bulbs? I wonder if they are as powerful as the Clearwater units. Motolight gets quite a bit extra for their LEDs. IIIRC, the radial mount kit is $439,  if you want other than brushed aluminum finish it costs extra, and I believe the LEDs add another $100 or more. Motolight warants the halogen bulbs for life to the original purchaser, but they don't say that the LEDs are lifetime warrantied.

Has anyone used the Lazer Lights? I just saw a set on a trike (Boss Hoss, and they are similar to the Motolights.
