New headlight installed.
« on: April 26, 2015, 09:22:31 pm »
Purchased one of those headlights off ebay a few months ago and finally got it installed....

And that's just the halo's on.HID with green halo's.They had a"make an offer" price so I put $550 in and they did it.Took just little over a week to get it and 2+ months for me to get it put in.Also did the plugs, cleaned the air filter and put the Top blocks on.Nice 8 hour day doing all of it too!!!!

I need a job,
I only need to make $72,000 a year... haven't worked in 8 months... kinda forgetting what a job is... :))
Have you met my pal ZG?

Sounds like your budget on farkles is bottomless.. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Oh, clean up your work area, I don't think I can see one tool on the floor that could be used for working on a C14, visible in that photo.... :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
BFH maybe.... but the rest.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

This is a bit silly, but tossing a big check, and hoping you don't go bust a hundred miles from home, is a bit contrary, to frugal... but then, if you have a good tow service, and never go a thousand miles in one direction from home... its a moot point.. looks cool tho, kudos for the big expense.

Might be in the market for a headlight,  any feedback on the quality of the projector,  things like that.
Not sure about the angel eye and stuff like that.

Thanks much

Only see blue and red,  not sure about laws on that.  Also are the angel halo and center demon things switched separate.  Guess I'm slow to understand how they work.

Primarily interested in the projector,  for better light output if I have to replace my assembly.

You can pick the color of the halo's and the color of the bulbs.Headlight was a direct replacement.I checked the alignment of the headlites on the wall at work. We'll see how they fare when I get it on the open road. The only issue I had was that one of the adjusters tabs was shorter than the others for the base of the remote adjusters on the dash.Nothing a longer screw and some washers didn't fix.Hiding the wiring wasn't even that bad either. :beerchug:

OK! Cool.  Was that their mount system? I'm assuming they all make the same one.

Pardon me for being off topic, but what is that piece you have under your windshield?  Between the headlights.

I believe it's the nose piece to the Copperdawg sportscreen.  http://www.copperdawg.com/

Pilgrim is correct, that is the nose piece to a C/D screen.  I have one in black!

on a wall or garage door i assume the cutoff is very good ??
looks good, question, how is the light switched ?? is the low always on or are the eyes on then the low is switched ??
colors look good, concern would be legalities of it, especially on a trip or something , i still only see red and blue on the ebay link. {white ??}

thanks much for the time

Kept the PIAA's off for the pix.The halo's stay on all the time. When I put the order in I requested green.Probabaly could do anty color they have.I bet if ya asked them them could put an extra switch to turn the halo's off.I'm gonna email them next.

No, really let it all out and tell us how you really feel.

Anyway to improve visibility is a great idea. I believe it may even stand out more than the headlight simply because it's a different color than white, which is what everyone is accustom to seeing.

It's not at all pointless when you look and see those pics and how bright the road looks, that's a a wonderful spread of lumens! My HIDS are great, but you can tell the reflectors were not designed for the bulbs themselves as it gets a bit blotchy with bright spills of light here and there, no true uniformity

There's a reason your seeing more angel eyes on vehicle's,they work. These headlites are well worth it at nite. And the halo's.......my choice. And anything to get the morons attention in vehicles the better! !!!
