New SH58 case from 46 to 58 lt
« on: June 19, 2017, 08:49:26 pm »
I'm a new C14 rider, sold my Vstrom 1000 months ago and always wanted a C14, I'm very excited to test her on a long trip next month.
I have a question, has anyone tried out the new Shad SH58X top case? I asked around on a couple facebook groups and it seems to still be new. Anybody here has the case and could share some pics or review?

It's pretty neat, huge 58L storage capacity but you can also collapse it down into two lower profiles when you don't need all of that space. Price seems a bit cheaper then Givi's big 55L and I like the backrest for my wife.

Any online dealers you guys recommend? my local Kawasaki Dealer doesn't have this case.

Murph, an industry member with COG for many many years, brought the Shad line to us when they first became a popular and affordable option, I have one of the first 42 liter trunks, he is selling the 50l now, but doesn't list this new version, might want to contact him and ask, he may offer a reduction in price if interest is there.....

Tell him I sent ya... :great:

For some strange reason your link didn't work, but this one does....

I am picking up my ride tonight and I too am looking at the SHAD cases, I like how you can close and lock it without needing the key.  I know, it's not locked locked, but secured .  I don't know if I like that you have to mount a bracket to a bracket to the back area.  Seems like there should be an easier way.  I am trading a BMW F800 that has the BMW case which I believe is made by SHAD.  I just goes right onto the tail with no additional brackets.
