Just put the Grip Buddies on this weekend.  That is a strange feel, the first couple of miles, but I think on the long haul, they are going to be sweet.   :)

Bruce-

Thanks for bringing me back to reality. If you knew how often I get comments from people who are not used to the  initial feel of the OGB's, but then refuse to ride without them, you'd be amazed. Put it this way: 10,000 riders thought they were a good thing last year!

Congrats on the new ride,  When can we see a list of planned Farkles :)

You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.

Mad River Marc-

As a former LEO, I really should read you your Miranda rights. You are talking to (agueably) the individual with the biggest, worst over-farkling problem in the whole wide world.  :o I'm not sure you want to go there with me. Put it this way: My wife feels that I need to see a professional about my over-farkling problem. :)  My customers actually come to rallies to see just how far I have gone each time I get the itch again. . . . .like right now, with the POD. :great:

So. . . . . . . . .what's the consensus. . . .do you really want me to share. . . . . . . . . .? Don't say I didn't warn you. :s_laugh:

Standing by for your thoughts. . . . . . . . . O:-)

Congratulations..... even though you did not purchase the fastest color. :nananana: :great: :beerchug:

You are 100% correct. That is why I am altering the paint to a Matte finish. This will add approximately 7% more horsepower and torque, and blow any other Connie right out of the water. It already kicks the a**  of the K1600 (all colors), so will become the reigning speed champion. There is a reason why I have christened him:

Well. . . . .that's it. The deed is done. I brought him home last night. Wow. . . . . .what a ride. Here is when the rubber meets the road. . . . . . . . .literally. This is an F***ing awesome motorcycle. Can't wait to start the farkling process. I really like it over here on the dark side.

Congrats Dave!  Til Death do you part.

BTW, I had my maiden voyage Friday with my Grip Buddies and they really helped! I got caught behind a broken down vehicle in the Lincoln Tunnel and couldn't let go of my clutch for 30 minutes going through the traffic. >:(

As my fingers were crying, I kept saying "imagine how this would have been without the buddies on"

Thanks Again!

Techwonder-

Wow! You bring back memories of an earlier life when I lived near the big city, although I don't think I ever did the Lincoln Tunnel on my bike.  I drove through London (England) traffic, and the congestion of Paris (France) and the LIE on my Triumph, but never through the tunnel. You are very brave. And thanks for the kind comments regarding the OGB's. I am always gratified when they help another person.

Any relationship to Lucas, Lord of Darkness?

Or the movie in which they found a strange cylinder on its side full of green dye and water that wanted to bring back the real Prince of Darkness?

Naw, , , , , ,plenty of this over-farkling disease for everyone to have some.  :rotflmao: :beerchug:

They are great. Just wish I had them a week earlier that way I would not had to take the original set I had for my wife's bike to use on the RWTW rally. I did install them on her bike when I received the new set. :)

Heh heh, thanks for the complement. I've only retired twice. First time was after 20 years in the US Navy, 2ND time was for health reasons after 18 years as a LEO. I wish my body would keep up with my 23 year old mind.  :)

The real reason for the push was to keep your no show farkle thread out of "say anything but that."

As a fellow retired LEO I am sorry about the disability retirement. I hope you weren't injured in the  line of duty. and, anyway, any excuse to talk about farkles is OK with me. Also, if I do the math correctly, I am still your senior, and therefore allowed to refer to you as "you young people". It's all good!

Received the Grip Buddies about 2 weeks ago and installed. I was finally able to ride yesterday for about 300 miles and was pleasantly surprised and how nice the feel was on the grips. They certainly took some vibs away and my hands were not nearly as tired as in the past.

Nice product, Thanks very much.

That's great! Everything that you experienced (above), was involved in why I developed this product (initially) for myself.

Good on ya, for seeking out a solution that would work for you!
