What was the change in OEM seats post 15?

seat color....basically
2 tone gray/black vs solid black, in 2010

there was a change in the bottom pad(under seat) also

breakdown;

08-09

WHY?
why not just slap the whole 17 seat on the bike, and leave the 11 intact, much less chance of damaging either, or both... besides, I can't say for sure the cover / foam are exactly the same config.... you have both, show me pictures.... pleeeeeeeze.

Short story I got the OEM touring seat with my bike. So before I lowered the bike I used the stock seat as a guinea pig and trimmed the foam to see if that would work. Now I’d like a stock seat to keep with the bike if I ever decide to sell it. And sell the touring seat separate... btw didn’t need the lowering links...

But the seat pan has stayed the same, right?

I borrowed a couple of customized seats from COGgers (a Baldwin and an RDL) that I'm pretty sure were built on pre-2015 seat pans and they seemed to fit my 2017 with no problems.
