Thanks.

I just installed ProjektD helmet locks and I have a Phil’s Rack.  They don’t actually bolt to the rack, they come with a thin metal mounting strip that spans across under the Phils Rack and mounts to the same screw holes that the Phils Rack (or stock Rack for that matter) mounts to.  They are of good quality and work well.

Excellent! Thank you for the quick reply. I've gotten "hooked" on the helmet locks on the Goldwing and these look very similar. Thanks ErikS.

I agree with ErikS.  I have installed these helmet locks with Phil's rack.  Both are excellent additions to the C14.  The only thing I might mention is that you will need four slightly longer bolts (5mm longer) to install both the rack and the lock to the bike.  ProjekD supplies the appropriate hardware but I was not happy with it - call me fussy - and opted for a Kawasaki replacement which may (or may not be) sturdier but certainly looks better.

I agree with Bumblebee about wanting slightly longer bolts than ProjekD supplies when installing helmet locks with Phil’s Rack, I should have mentioned that but forgot.  I went to HW store and got some hex head bolts that were slightly longer.  Just brought along one of the OEM bolts to ensure correct diameter and thread.

And if you get lucky, they will be the same key blank as your ignition. ie: A or B. Was arrived being the same, and I had a locksmith re-key them.
