Question about levers
« on: July 08, 2014, 01:52:22 am »
I have a '12 Arabian Red[The Fast Color] and I am thinking about trying some short levers on it.
I have searched this forum and read all the post I could find concerning brand and quality, that is not my question.
Will possibly try a less expensive set before dropping money for a set of higher quality, just in case I find they do not suit me.
Have used two finger levers before but mostly on enduro bikes, keeps the clutch and brakes from being fully activated by a passing tree trunk.
When it comes to some brands they do not list levers for the Connie but do list them for the KZ series bikes.
Is there a KZ bike that has the same levers as the '12 Connie?
Thinking possibly either the 1000 or 1400.
Any thoughts would be appreciated and would help broaden the search field.
Thanks

Alan, I had a set of el-cheapos in anodized red on my old C10 for 6 years before I sold it. They cost me about $25 on ebay, and they worked great.

Did some more poking around, mostly on an OEM parts site.
Put in the part number and click the "where used" button.
It appears the clutch lever has been used by both the Connie 14 and ZX 14 since 2006
The brake lever has been used by the Connie 14 and ZX 10 and 14 since since 2006
In both cases the Connie 14 hits the listing in 2008.
So any lever listed for a ZX 10 or 14 should also fit the Connie 14.
