One of the 1st things I put on my bike was a Fenda extenda. It wasnt until a few months ago I put on a radiator guard. The radiator had a couple of small dings in it, so no, the extender does not offer complete protection

Any thoughts out there about the oil filter guard? Could it be more like a skid plate\heat shield instead of a sleeve? Is it fine the way it is?
When I bought my bike these were the first things I purchased from Murph's. For that extra protection I think it's well worth the $20.

yep, chrome....I fabbed one for my c10 rad, oil cooler and the ugly black horn grill.....looked awesome and had numerous compliments on them.  bought the 'CHROMED'  (lol) screening on ebay and just over lapped the material over the exiting screens.   the ugly horn grill was a different story.

I wanted something OEM looking and inconspicuous, but also easy to clean (toothbrush), better bug protection, and less airflow restriction, so ordered just the frame of a ProjektD in black, with no logos. Bent it in the perfect shape before anything else (it wasn't bent perfectly), and installed rubber isolators where needed. Once fit was perfect and rattle-free, installed fiberglass screening like I always do on all my vehicles. Looks much better than stock now, and have the protection I wanted. Not as strong as metal, but overall a much better choice for me here in hot TX. Plus have never had any issues with fiberglass screening. Just another idea ;D.

Got mine here, they are solid and the hook over the top of rad and one bolt on bottom.these cost alittle bit more but you don't need to use zip ties for the top since this one has hooks for the top.

Sorry everyone, but I have to say it.  I posted the price of these guards on Ebay last year for as low as around $45, yet I still see folks paying over $100 for the same product from other dealers.  I have seen the guards from both dealers, and there really is no difference in the quality, or how they mount. I don't get it.   :-[
