Taking the power plunge....
« on: March 14, 2012, 05:30:27 pm »
Good afternoon fellow COG's.  I am about to send in my ECU for the Guhl reflash and am sourcing a Vance & Hines CSOne.  My question is....is there a need/benefit (outside of the serviceability) to replacing the factory air filter or does the factory filter flow pretty well?  If there is a benefit....which of the aftermarket filters is preferred?

Thanks in advance for the response!

Here's a link:  http://www.rc51.org/airfilt.htm

My understanding is that the stock air filter may actually give better all-around performance than the K&N type. I have no direct experience to draw from here, just "hearsay". Basically, better filtration + same power with stock. That's the kool-aid I'm drinkin'.
So many farkles, so little time.
