Home Depot/Lowe's radiator guard.

How is that attached?

+1 on the radiator guard from Cox Racing Group.   Easy to install, looks good and gets the job done!

It slips under the left and right edge of the radiator "end caps". The retention pressure is created by allowing the mesh to follow the curve of the radiator.

Home Depot/Lowe's radiator guard.

Does that really stop anything? I think it's a great idea, but being right against the fins, wouldn't that still smash the fins if something hit it? Or is the idea to stop something from penetrating it?

Good catch. True. Note how the Cox and ProjekD guards stand out a bit from the fins? A good size pebble could hit my ProjekD and probably just bounce off. If the mesh is up against the fins, it would deform the fins possibly.

I am considering the ProjektD guard. Wondering if there are any import taxes/duty that is due upon arrival? And, how long did it take to arrive? I live in NC.

I had the ProjektD on my 2008, and today have the Cox on my 2012.

ProjektD is "blingy-er", very nicely made, and easier to install than the Cox.

The Cox is very nicely made, not so hard to install at all, and I like that the perimeter frame (the part that the mesh is held by) is thinner (as in less wide in elevation view) than the ProjektD. Aesthetically I prefer the Cox (YMMV). More color options with Cox too, if that matters.

IIRC, ProjektD has usually gotten their products to me in under 2 weeks' time. Very professional all the way.
Cox is made here in the USA.
