You can see the full installation process here:

And yes, you still have to order them from France and pay shipping to get them. So far, no one in the US has imported them. I think the price has scared many of the retailers off. But this is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for".

They're about $700 shipped for the ones that go on the sides RBC, another couple hundred for the swing arm and fork sliders, so about a grand total for the full monty set-up...

Group buy? ;D

A group buy was attempted before about a year or so ago, but IIRC there just wasn't enough folks to pony up the $...

Those really are a lotta dollars to pony up - particularly since these days the farkle I save up for is an extra tank of gas to just go out and burn for fun rather than while commuting.  But you do get what you pay for and those Top Blocks sure do seem like the best,

I combat tested my Top Blocks when I dropped my bike at the National on Tuesday coming out of an off camber heavily sloped parking lot, and the bike smacked the pavement pretty hard. The sound made me cringe and I said to myself, I hope those sliders worked, but I was sure I had broken something. I picked up the bike, and the only damage was the footpeg feeler snapped off. Nothing else touched the ground except the sliders, and they did their job, despite being on a very uneven surface. Not a scratch anywhere.

They have now paid for themselves.

I didn't take photos of the combat drop, but lots of photos were taken of my bike when I intentionally laid it on its side in front of the convention center at the rally. We also demonstrated how easy it is to pick up a bike and had a woman (Colin's wife) pick it up at the ladies breakfast in front of a crowd (with a full tank of gas).

Very cool, I look forward to seeing those pics, maybe it would make me not feel so bad about the pics of mine on her side... :'(

I met Colin this summer, great dude, but didn't meet his wife, that's awesome she was picking one up!  :great:

Actually somebody at the Rally has designed a similar bar to the Top Block that does incorporate a flip out highway peg...

Not for sale yet tho I don't think..

You can see some of the photos I took at the National  http://flic.kr/s/aHsjzZkP5S
