94 Concours loaded
« on: May 30, 2017, 01:03:11 am »
As much as I hate to do it I think its time to hang my helmet up for awhile.  About 2 years ago I had a accident and tore my 93 Connie with 80k miles up.  I actually stopped a local bike shop that and bought this 94.  I put a bunch of work and kept Steve employed getting everything put on the bike.  Bike runs solid!   It has 10k original miles.  I put 5k on it.  Bike is located just south of Dallas.  I rode it to a bike rally this weekend and realized its time...  below is what all it has on it.

10k original miles
$800 Russell Day long saddle
Front Springs
Front Brace
Heated grips
Cruise control
Torque cams
Steves 7th gear mod
Steves 2 min carb mod
Carb jet tuned
Stick coils
Tip over bars
Rifle Windshield
CB radio
100w headlight upgrade w/wiring upgrade
Wiring harness with fuse box and relay from Murph
Trunk with LED tail
Good tires

Im sure ive missed something.  Bike is ready to tour.  I will take $2500.  I listed it for $3000 online but would rather someone who knows what all ive done take good care of her.  Text me is the best. Would consider offers or trades.  Let me know what you think

I would fly out and buy this in a heartbeat and ride it home in NY! There is no way I can get time off of work to do it. Grrrrr. This has everything I planned to do to my bike.

That is a ridiculously low price. I can't believe someone hasn't already snapped this up.
If I buy it, can I keep in in your garage until the 2018 Nationals???    :rotflmao:
Good luck with the sale!

I'm very interested! If I buy it, can you hold on to it for a week or two? I will fly out and ride to Oklahoma to visit friends, then come home to Georgia. I'll discuss with spousal unit when I get home in the morning (I work night shift).

It was me! I did it.

I told my wife I HAD to have this bike. I explained to her that my current Connie has 80k, has been dropped a few times, the upper fairing slightly crooked, needs carbs serviced by SISF (i "rebuilt" them, still not quite right LOL), and that this well preserved relic was much cheaper than buying a C14...so she readily agreed.

Well....Actually what happened was, I said all this while she was decorating a cake...but she did stop what she was doing, made eye contact for about 3 seconds, and without saying a word went back to her cake.

Now, most of you men know, that after 20 years together (15+ of those married) we learn to be an expert in spousal communication.   ;)

So.....What she meant without saying was, "I know you're a strong and determined male specimen (that's why I chose you to procreate with), and you're going to do whatever you want anyway (unless I really put up a defense). In as much as this is a good deal, even if you don't "NEED" another bike, it's honestly not worth the effort to dispute. And furthermore, I could use leverage to my advantage in the next financial proposal, which in undoubtedly will be at a much higher cost than this, so Yes Dear, go ahead and buy another Connie!
 :13:

So... David, if I suddenly cease communication and never show up for the bike, there's a slight chance she never actually processed anything I said, and finally noticed the substantial decrease in our available funds.  :-\

I will add... on the drive to dinner out tonight, she became an expert mechanic (like her father), suddenly becoming aware of all the very minor issues our 06 Odyssey Touring has, and pointed out the 230k miles. We also just "happened" to drive by the Honda dealership that has a few 2015 Touring Elites for sale.

This bike may end up costing me $30k  :truce:
