2013 Blue C14 Los Angeles area $9500
« on: June 12, 2017, 07:53:32 am »
Fellow riders

Decided to sell my 2013 Kawasaki Concours 14, lots of toys, little time and a bit short on cash! it has about 17k miles on it, all services updated, never dropped, crashed or laid down, Adult owned well maintained, excellent condition, title clean in my hand ready to transfer to the new owner, needs nothing but a new rider.

This is ABS model including all the factory options (heated grips, traction control, linked braking...) and multiple upgrades including:

Sargent seat (much more comfortable, and lower lower version, I can easily flat foot)
Kawasaki topbox (original Kawasaki matching color)
Radar and laser detector (brand: passport, wired and installed)
Camera (wired and installed)
California science Windshield (superior wind protection compared to original)
Engine guards
Headlight Protector (uninstalled but will include in sale)
Saddle bag liners (internal concours bags)
Cruise control (Throttle lock)
Two brothers slip on (Amazing performance)
Tank grips
Padded hand grips (not installed, but included)
brake flashing module (for safety)
2 Helmet locks (attached)
3 Ram mounts with key
Ram ball link connector
Auxiliary front lights (better visibility both nights/day)
Air horn (much better sounding compared to original)
Battery tender connector
Heated gear extensions
Cellphone mount and charger
Garmin mount
Foot peg lowering kits for long cruising (not installed, but included)
ECU reflashed by Steves latest Magic :-)

I also have the owners manual and probably more stuff that can't remember at this moment.

Asking $9500 OBO cash only

Feel free to pm me if you had questions. I'll try to post pictures but always run into technical issue, will be glad to email.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news....but.....I think you would have to drop your price by another grand to harness ANY interest. Farkles add so little to the price of a bike, maybe 10-15% of their value- your better off selling them individually where you could get as much as 50% or more of a return on your investment. I have seen several people pick up the upgraded 2015 models for about the price your asking with only a few thousand miles on the ODO (i.e Mattchewn)

Well first congratulations, but are you suggesting I'm asking to much? Care to share more details on your bike? Any farkles, upgrades, mileage... I'm new to sport touring and they are definitely not popular in my area, I figured the best way of pricing The C14 is to check the local CL, and dealer, the dealer is paying $7200 for it, and the local CL is pretty much the $9500 range, I will eventually drop the price if it doesn't sale but comparing the prices I explained I feel like there is lack of market causing the slow sale.

I think the motorcycle maket is in a slump. Two weeks ago I practically gave away my 2005 R1200GS just to get rid of it.

But, I found  a local 2013 C14 with 9,000 miles on it, no fakles except tech spec pads, for $6,750   :great:

I've sold enough bikes to know that regardless of what it is, it's what the market dictates. I have been trying to sell a couple bikes for a friend of mine for over a year. One is a Dyna that's in excellent shape that he's only asking 6k for it and not a penny less, but it's still more than people are willing to pay. I also live in California...found mine in Hollister. It's green, which is what I have been looking for...came with a matching Kawi trunk, new tires, 13k on the clock, not a mark on it and still under warranty. When you start getting hits as the price goes down, you're getting close. You just have to decide, hang onto it and stick to your price, or lower it to move it. And you know that the longer you hang onto it, the lower it books.

I live in the SoCal area and that price seems a little high with 2012's with low miles going for $7500, a 2014 with 3k going for $8900 and a 2016 with 18k going for $9900.  I just bought a 2017 with 1 mile on the clock for $13,000 out the door.  Anyway, good luck!

Thank you everyone for your feedbacks, I was expecting more interest in the bike from forum members who understand the value of all the upgrades & the ECU flash (unlike a regular CL shopper). While I am flexible on the price I also very much hope to find the right buyer who values the farkles, meanwhile please let me know if you heard someone looking for a great C14, this bike is in excellent condition and needs nothing,  Everytime I am riding it I think of keeping the bike as it does everything so well (... well everything but off roaring), and I'm sure the new owner would be very happy.
