Title: Am I really Expired?
Post by: Harry Martin on May 29, 2014, 06:15:12 pm
Below my avatar it says I'm expired. I renewed on line but still shows I'm expired.
Is that for something else? Does this make me a worthless COG member now?

You must have been expired the last time you logged into the forum.  (expired 03/06/2014, renewed on 04/24/2014)

The forum user profiles refresh on login and remember that data until the next logout/login cycle.  Try refreshing your forum profile by logging out, and back in. If that does not help, then contact your AD to confirm your worthiness.

In the olden' days, they used to hold a mirror under the 'person in question's' nose- if it fogged even a tiny bit, not expired. Your way is a lot more complicated. Stupid internet....

Logged out, then back in. That did it.

I shouldn't have to do that. Friggn' Internet.

The forum s/w is running on a independent web server /hosting from the membership services portal. This post sorta explains the profile connection:

The current integration was the best solution at the time. Maybe we have a member out there with qualifications as a SMF developer capable of making improvements to the PHP code.
