I think we should raise club dues so we can buy all the storage we want so everyone can post all the pics I don't want to see.

Again if you don't want your question answered by everyone don't ask everyone.

That is true about ZG-GTR.  He started the issue of only posting picks on third part sites due to slow bandwidth and storage costs.  I think we only started allowing user pics about what two years ago?

What club dues? A good chunk of the people on here don't pay them anyway. So just like Obama care the rest of us are paying for the "have-nots". As the DOT already mentioned he's going to move the website to a better hosting company. More than likely he will get more bang for our buck. Everyday in the tech world you get more for less.

If I see a question out there that I have no clue on I generally don't try to answer it. Hence I avoid brain surgery and rocket science questions. If you don't know the answer to the question why try to answer it? Makes one look rather foolish.

The slow bandwidth shouldn't be an issue. Again this is something that is increasing everyday. How many of you are still on 56k dialup? Even remote rural areas have DSL now. Sure it's not 75/75 but it's not 56k either!

The list just keeps getting longer...lowlifes, worthless, feral cats and have-nots...one of the better marketing campaigns I've seen of late.

I may voice an opinion but I will never report a post unless it looks like someone is going to get ripped off.

As a business owner and someone that has paid god knows how much in employee taxes, comp/liability, health benefits, FUTA, blah, blah, blah, not to mention the 1000+ hours spent as a volunteer...I sleep just fine.

Happy to pay up when I plan to attend a function or start asking question about my bike.

I was an AAD for a few years.  Then I was on the committee that helped bring on the COG member service site (but not this version of the forum).  I was SC-AD for 4 years.  I was on the board of directors during the years many of the rules were set for the forum and member service site.  I hosted a National rally and many other events.
I think I am qualified to give my opinion of how this place is and should be run.

EZ Bob....

This is the Forum, things work differently here.
It doesn't matter how many years you've been around or what you've done, it how loudly you can complain about things.
On this interweb thing, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Everything you listed above has zero to do with a technical question about the website. Opinions are like.. well you know.. Everyone's got one.

Ya know,  Since I got nothing to do with running this club anymore I can maybe say this.  You just are WRONG.  The BOD decides what goes on here not you, not the tech guy and not the software.  You wanted to know why the attachment size was what it was.  I and everyone else told you.  If you got your head up your ask and can't hear I can't help that.

Sure the software could use an upgrade.  If you want to volunteer to get it done then do it.  don't sit there and beutch about it not getting done by some other unpaid volunteer.

So let me get this straight. Being on the Board of a motorcycle forum website makes one qualified to answer TECHNICAL questions about the website? I give up. You guys are stuck so far in the past it's not even funny and it's becoming more and more clear to me why. Unfortunately I'll end up like Brian if I elaborate. So again a simple posted question has to be ruined by people that have no business answering it.

BTW I love how you get around and avoid the website profanity filters. I throw a post up about a TV show called WTF (Wheels That Fail) and I get censored. I guess the rules don't apply to everyone?

I think you need an ego check buddy.

Maybe... But then again, I still have a few friends back that-a-way that might have hooked me up. You might not know what's it like to have friends like that, but I do... Why don't you ask a few people at the rally how they feel about me, you might find out that I'm not really a bad guy.

And check this out, they are having a cool rally down here called RWTW. I've only been down here a little over a month and already received a few offers to pay my rally fee so I can meet the locals. :beerchug: I wish I could but I just found our that I start work Tuesday  :cheer:

I don't get it.

your first post didnt have any questions in it. the subject had a question asking what version the forum was on. the rest of the post was just complaining about how small the attachment limit was.

everyone else that did chime in basically said, the attachment limit wasnt that big of a deal. use photobucket or something else.

and you get upset that you posted on a public forum, and other people answered you.

incidentally the answer to the version question is as close as the footer to every page on the forum (even this one).

No I don't get it. It must be a cultural thing. A simple question gets turned around into this farce.. again.. DOT You answered the questions I had. The rest of this crap was fending off the constant attacks the forum users love to throw at people. I'm done. I'll be hanging with Brian. I can see why he bailed.
