Can't Post Pictures to Media section
« on: January 04, 2019, 04:01:12 pm »
I was able to create an album in the Media section, but have not been able to add pictures.  I keep getting the error - file not found message.  Is something wrong, or is the Media section not working to add pictures?

Check the file size limits
5000 Kb max
2048 x 2048 pixel max

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

OK that explains it.  Picture was under 5000 K but over 2048 pixel.  That seems to be a low limit, most digital photos are > 2048 in at least one dimension.

The intent of having the media center is not what it became or was meant for hi-res images... this is better suited to hot linking from photo hosting sites. As we move forward, the desire is for the COG forum 2.0 is to move toward a more feature rich forum software that will integrate with Tapatalk. The media center will go away. Think ADVRider.
