If you get a notification of a new post in a thread, you will not receive another notification of further posting in the thread, until you visit the thread. And you need to be logged in when you do so. There is no reason to receive more e-mails. If you don't want to visit right away. you can hang on to the e-mail as a reminder. Most people complain about too many e-mails, and sending out a lot of e-mails puts a load on the server.
Smart people look like crazy people to stupid people.

I agree with WillyP.  This is just the way forum software works.  It is not meant to send an email for every post... just a reminder if there is a new post to the topic being watched.  The general use is that folks will stop in the the forum and review postings.  To help limit reading to just new posts, there is a link in the top header under HELLO that says "Show new posts since last visit"

There is more to be gained by members raising hands saying "I'll do that" instead of pointing fingers saying "nobody's doing that."

Just as a FYI

you can subscribe to be notified to a section of the forum or just a thread.
So you can for example receive notifications on this thread OR for the entire Cogmos Problem reports, or just a child section.

Hope that helps
